Interesting, I had low sodium continually showing up in my blood work when I had what the doctors called Post Covid Syndrome. I also was anemic and very sick for 7 months.
For those interested—whether doctors or individuals still experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 or vaccination—I’ve done some research on the pituitary gland and its connection to "Empty Sella Syndrome (ESS)." You can read more about it here: https://swaresearch.blogspot.com/2024/09/empty-sella-syndrome-ess-related-to.html.
According to Science Direct/Neuroscience, COVID-19 can also contribute to leukoencephalopathy, alongside the JC virus or sepsis, affecting the central nervous system. Regardless of the cause, the prognosis is often bleak.
Interesting study. I wonder about the vaccine effects.
I have suffered from fibromyalgia with ME/CFS for 25 years.
After my second covid vax dose in 2022 I suffered much more severe symptoms as follows:
PEM
Extreme nocturnal thirst
Arrhythmia
Extreme fatigue
Vertigo (Hospitalized)
Imbalance
Visual-light disturbances.
I had all of those symptoms ( and others) but these became extreme. I still have heightened symptoms of fatigue and chest pain.
Also they found a PEmbolism after I had a swollen calf muscle about 6 months after the vax. Never had covid (as far as I know).
After the vertigo hospitalization they did find that my posterior pituitary was enlarged. That still has not been been re-scanned. I took 12000 FU nattokinase and rivarobaxan to prevent and remove the clot. Still take the Nattokinase. Not sure what to do about the pituitary - may have recovered.
Besides a TSH blood test to check for hypothyroidism, including cases due to iodine deficiency, or a physical exam for enlarged thyroid glands, no specific Mercuric chloride test is performed to detect the presence of iodide ions as the anion of a salt. This would require a separate mineral test, for which the patient must visit the lab directly and pay out of pocket.

In Germany only endocrinology tests for Natrium if symptoms point toward Hyponatremia (Low Level of Sodium in the Blood). https://www.merckmanuals.com/home/hormonal-and-metabolic-disorders/electrolyte-balance/hyponatremia-low-level-of-sodium-in-the-blood

In addition to sharing my personal experience with COVID-19 and the BioNTech vaccination, I’ve provided a summary that includes insights on Cortisol/ACTH testing and elevated Aldosterone to Renin Ratio (ARR): https://swaresearch.blogspot.com/2024/08/when-aldosterone-to-renin-ratio-arr-is.html.

I would be interested to see the interactions of iodine in this picture.
